This is what we see, among other things, in the <strong>domain<\/strong> of <strong>real estate.<\/strong> Even though their salaries are on average lower than their male counterparts, they represent a <strong>part<\/strong> no <strong>negligible<\/strong> of the <strong>buyers<\/strong>\u00a0 of <strong>real estate.<\/strong> Between determination, pragmatism and business sense, women are working hard to make their dream come true: having their own home.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/natureetresidencevillage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/femmes-seules-achat-immobilier.jpg\" alt=\"Immobilier : les profils de ces femmes qui ach\u00e8tent seules\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>At least 33% of solo buyers in 2021 are women<\/h2>\n<p>For <strong>realize<\/strong> their <strong>project,<\/strong> some people go alone. They learn about the <strong>real estate<\/strong> available in the locality that interests them but also on the <strong>potential tax benefits<\/strong> or even on the <strong>possibilities<\/strong> in matters of <strong>bank credit.<\/strong> Among these \u201csolo\u201d buyers, we find many <strong>women,<\/strong> which today represent approximately the <strong>half<\/strong> of the <strong>borrowers,<\/strong> compared to a third in 2017. If all age categories are represented, it is especially those under thirty who are the quickest to cross the Rubicon.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the <strong>number<\/strong> of <strong>women<\/strong> having <strong>acquired<\/strong> a <strong>property<\/strong> in <strong>solo<\/strong> has <strong>increase<\/strong> of <strong>significantly.<\/strong> Last year, in fact, they represented 40% of solo buyers, compared to 35% in 2019. This sudden desire to move from <strong>rental<\/strong> to the status of <strong>owner<\/strong> is partly explained by the context of <strong>health restrictions<\/strong>\u00a0: for women with children in particular, having their own roof becomes a <strong>absolute priority.<\/strong> Even if the health crisis is not yet over, the context is radically different in 2021. The share of women among solo buyers has returned to its pre-pandemic level: 33%.<\/p>\n<p>But if the number of women who embark on a <strong>real estate project<\/strong> is in light <strong>hindsight<\/strong> compared to 2020, it is also because they fear <strong>evolution<\/strong> of <strong>market<\/strong> of <strong>real estate.<\/strong> They may have all the determination in the world, when real estate prices and interest rates are rising and this can <strong>complicate<\/strong> their <strong>ability<\/strong> has <strong>financial<\/strong> their <strong>project,<\/strong> they think twice before taking the plunge.<\/p>\n<h2>The determination of women to have their own roof<\/h2>\n<p>74.19% of women who launch a business alone <strong>real estate project<\/strong> are <strong>first-time buyers,<\/strong> compared to 73.89% last year. There <strong>clear progress<\/strong> of the <strong>first-time buyer<\/strong> is explained in particular by the active role played by those under thirty, who represent 23.18% of buyers compared to 22.51% in 2020 and 20% in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>88% of women who embark on a real estate project are primarily interested in a primary residence in which they want to live. Only 9% intend to<a href=\"\/en\/achat-en-lmnp\/\">invest in rental property <\/a>\u2013 while 15% of acquisitions made by men in 2021 are as part of a rental investment.<\/p>\n<h2>Who are these women ?<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>singles<\/strong> represent a <strong>important part<\/strong> women who launch out alone in a <strong>real estate project.<\/strong> Despite everything, their number has tended to decrease in recent years. They now represent 78.34% of buyers compared to 82.36% in 2017. For comparison, around 90% of <strong>male buyers<\/strong> are <strong>singles.<\/strong> The share of divorced women is increasing: they now represent 20.14% of buyers. Widows are in the ultra minority, making only 1.52% of <strong>real estate projects.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regarding the <strong>typology<\/strong> of the <strong>real estate,<\/strong> The majority of women direct their projects towards apartments, even if they are a little less numerous than their male counterparts to do so. If buyers, men or women, have always been numerous in <strong>privilege<\/strong> of the <strong>old housing,<\/strong> the trend is starting to change slightly.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, women buyers generally purchase as many <strong>goods with work<\/strong> than their male counterparts. The amounts of their acquisitions are, however, generally greater than those of operations carried out by men.<\/p>\n<p>Another fact that deserves to be highlighted: the incomes of these women are for the most part lower than those of male buyers. The salary gap is more precisely 11.48 on average in 2021. Although it is still significant, this gap is decreasing since it was 17% the previous year. It should also be noted that having lower incomes than men does not discourage women, who are able to make a more substantial contribution \u2013 10.13% more than their male buyers.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>women<\/strong> may have great determination in <strong>realization of their project, the gap<\/strong> of <strong>income<\/strong> constitutes an obstacle in certain situations. This is particularly the case when they wish <strong>create savings<\/strong> or that they want to take out a loan: banks grant them on average amounts 10% lower than those granted to men. And <strong>the gap is widening<\/strong> in terms of amount of bank credit: in 2021, women obtain on average a credit of \u20ac20,000 less than that granted to men, compared to \u20ac16,000 the previous year.
