Real estate loan: the average rate is stabilizing, but durations are reducing

Well before the recommendations of the High Financial Stability Council in December, the majority of organisms of credit have adjusted their offers for anticipate this possibility.

If we refer to the latest Crédit Logement barometer, the adjustment of the offers continued in January with lending institutions. In fact, the structure of their production has undergone some changes as follows. The borrowers the least endowed personal contribution are recording a decline, particularly the young and the less well-off. The same goes for the duration of the loans the longer.

In January 2020, we observed a slight decrease, i.e. 4 months less since December 2019, while durations have tendency has lie down at this time of year.
