The Parisian executives who wish change of scenery have an interest in making a decision for good in 2020. Indeed, many of them want to leave the capital city for settle in the big ones regional metropolises, although few of them take the plunge.
With the carrier strike in December, the confinement which encourages the French to stay at home, all these events don't not benefit to Parisian executives which live in the capital city. As part of the 8rd edition of the Cadremploi study on the preferred cities of Parisian executives, here are the major trends that are popular in France.
Although the City of Lights seems to attract tourists and locals alike, Paris is no longer as attractive frames as before. Despite his qualities in accessibility terms to various services and to the cultural life, the disinterest is confirmed more and more. Nearly 63% of Parisians believe that city is too stressful and 57% blame him for cost of the life too high. Not to mention the 48% who point the finger at time of transport too much important.
With all criteria combined, more than the majority of Parisians surveyed declare dissatisfied of their situation, or 54% of them. So many reasons that encourage executives to to change of place of life far from the capital. Moreover, 83% of them want flee Paris at profit of the regional cities.

Executives are ready to travel back and forth between Paris and the Province
The Parisians do not hide their desire to want to leave the Parisian city, but few of them cross the threshold. They are mainly braked by the idea of not find a employment elsewhere, as stated by 66% of the executives surveyed. On the other hand, they are ready to make concessions in order to shape their projects. The resignation option is down slightly at 46%, a percentage down 6 points compared to 2019. The option of going back and forth between Paris and the Province rises considerably to 38%, i.e. up 7 points. A tendency which explains itself partly with the possibility of telework. A way of working that executives want to adopt in a sustainable way. In addition, 61% agree to to change of job to be able to move in region.
A third of executives are actively looking for a position in the region
Even if the line between reflection and taking action is not very clear, recent events linked to economic context and sanitary changed the situation. In some ways, these events have tarnished the image of Paris among 47% of executives. In addition to this, they advocate more for regional mobility for the 83%. They are even inclined to want start the procedures necessary in this sense through interviews which concern 32% of them. Indeed, they are actively research of a post or in request of mutation.

Bordeaux, Nantes and Lyon, the cities most popular with Parisian executives
Parisian executives are keen on the idea of leaving the capital to settle in Bordeaux, Nantes and Lyon, the favorite cities of executives. This trio of cities won the most votes, with 51% for Bordeaux, 44% for Nantes and 31% for Lyon.
